A favorite of homeowners, designers and staging professionals, your time will be well spent perusing their inventory. Turnover is rapid so if you see something you like, BUY IT. I have been shopping and selling here since they opened; they just keep getting better!
  The Clearinghouse, 200 W.Padonia Road, Timonium, MD 21093, 410-561-4546 - So much to choose from, so very much to see. Many visitors to this, or any consignment shop, make the mistake of hurrying through. Be certain to allow plenty of time to discover their treasures. I particularly recommend the extensive collection of china, glassware and kitchen items in addition to framed art work. Stop by the Clearinghouse and you'll be HOOKED!
  David's Furniture and Consignment, 914 W 36th Street, Baltimore, MD 21211, 410-467-8159 - Conviently located in Hampden on the Avenue, David's is the place to shop for bargains.Don't complete your decor until you've shopped at David's at least a few times. There are bargains to be had at incredible prices!
  The Antique Exchange,3545 Chestnut Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21211, 410-532-7000 - In the heart of Hampden Antique Exchange occupies a beautiful turn-of-the-century building on Chestnut Avenue.This is a great place to find the finishing touches for your home as well as more substantial pieces. Tom and Wesley Finnerty have excellent taste and are always willing to share their ideas with you.
  The Turnover Shop, 3855 Roland Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21210, 410-235-9585 (NO WEBSITE) - A Baltimore perennial favorite! Housed in an awninged, brick building on Roland Avenue sandwiched between Hampden and Roland Park, this is a must for traditional, often antique, furnishings. They have a unique reduction notation: 1. Full price clearly marked, 2. One red line through the price is half off and 3. an X through the price is half of the half price.
  Home Again, 6719 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, 410-377-3067 - Home Again is always a pleasant surprise. You truly never know what you will find. The only way to find out is to stop in and see for yourself. Wide seletion of new and gently-used items, lots of upholstered pieces and wooden chairs.
  B and B Consignments, 3205 Jarrettsville Pike, Monkton, MD, 410-692-0040 - Conveniently located at the intersection of Jarrettsville Pike and Hess Road in Monkton, this little gem of a store has a suprising inventory, fair prices and the most FRIENDLY proprietors. They often have items not featured in the store due to lack of space so don't hesitate to ask!
  Belle Patri, 3725 Federal Hill Road, Jarrettsville, MD, 21084, 410-692-5341 - Well worth the drive from anywhere in the greater Baltimore Area. The staff at Belle Patri are so pleasant and always make you feel welcome. Inventory tends to a bit of French Country showcasing nicely-painted furniture and a wide selection of upholstered pieces. Two full floors to discover. What are you waiting for?!
  Objects Found, 818 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD 21228, 410-744-9000 - Located in the heart of Old Catonsville, Objects Found is a fun space to explore. You'll find a plethora of items to view so plan to take your time here. An added bonus: after you work up an appetite shopping, slip across the street to Atwater's for their daily soup selections and creative sandwiches on in-house baked goods OR head down the block to Jenning's. OK, so now you know my second vice- eating!
  Second Chance (Recycled Materials Warehouse), 1400 Warner Street, Baltimore, MD 21202, 410-385-1101 - Located in the shadow of M&T Stadium, Second Chance is unique among consignment shopping as it is a nonprofit that provides people, materials and the environment with a second chance. Inventory hails from properties which have been dismantled or demolished. There are incredible finds to be made: stained glass, iron work, staircases, mantles, items too numerous to list. There are several buildings including one with more standard consignment fare/home furnishings. I hope you will support them!
  Southern Sales Services (New Materials Warehouse), 2015 Washington Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21230, 410-528-1770 - Conveniently located in Baltimore off of I-95, Southern Sales Services brings building material inventories and buyers together. Contractors,real estate investors,and do-it-yourselfers eagerly await inventories that include kitchen and bath cabinetry,home appliances,flooring,bath fixtures,windows,doors, mouldings,hardware and more!Stop into the showroom or attend the monthly auction.
Art Galleries - My Personal Favorites
  Rubicon Fine Art Gallery - Original, affordable art in a wide range of medium. Rubicon Fine Art represents over 15 artists from across the state of Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York. Call 410-608-0938 for hours of operation. Artists such as Melvin Miller, John Leone and Melanie Heacock are among those represented. RFA hosts special events throughout the year and provides art work to many of the area's finest interior designers and casual collectors alike. Prices are surprisingly modest.
  Schuler School of Fine Arts - 7 East Lafayette Avenue, Baltimore, Contact Francesca Schuler Guerin at 410-685-3568. This is a fantastic place to purchase original art work several times a year by faculty, students and alumni during their Open House/sale in June and December. Since 1959 the school has been training students in the methods and techniques of the European Old Masters.
  FinArt - 913 Wolfe Street, Fells Point, 443-254-ARTS Situated a bit off the beaten path, FinArt is an exciting discovery. Immensely talented Charles Lawrance, an avid fisherman, creates some of the most imaginative and detailed aquatic scenes you will ever see. "Hang a Lawrance piece in your home only if you enjoy heated conversation the work is sure to spark."
  Zoll Studio of Fine Art - Check this link for access to Zoll Studio events. A fine collection of work is available at a spring Open House and possibly by inquiry to the studio directly. Not just a wonderful place for instruction but a great place to purchase original art work.
  La Petite Galerie - 39 Maryland Avenue, Annapolis, 410-268-2425 Located on one of the most picturesque streets in our state's capital, Marie-Louise's gallery maintains an inventory of late 19th and early 20th century paintings as well as a multitude of works by contemporary artists in the United States and abroad. Stop in and browse; Marie-Louise is a most engaging hostess.

  NCR (North Central Railroad) Trail and Bike Path - Walk, bike, or ride a horse on the trail ! If you prefer, you can rent an inflatable tube or a canoe and drift merrily along. Either way, the North Central Railroad Recreation Trail is a great way to spend a few hours or the entire day. And it's free !
  Gunpowder Falls State Park - Jerusalem Village is one you won't want to miss. Great opportunities to enjoy a casual hike or a more strenuous one, a picnic or a tour of the mill, gun shop, general store and tenant house.
